The pbxnsip Attendant Console – New Version Available
All versions of pbxnsip can utilise this extremely useful utility - the pbxnsip Attendant Console (PAC).
PAC provides the ability to monitor the status of extensions and ITSP trunks on your pbxnsip system - for both incoming and outgoing calls.
PAC is a lightweight application that is installed locally on your PC. It can be started and stopped seamlessly at any time without disruption to the PBX. Configuration of PAC is very simple; the application can be defined in the “button list” and selected as your active Configuration profile to monitor the status of extensions and/or trunks.
Alternatively if you already have an active configuration profile and you wish to utilise the PAC, you can create a dedicated PAC extension in your pbxnsip system.
PAC has many applications. System administrators will find this an invaluable tool for quickly seeing who is using the pbxnsip system. Organisations which use a Receptionist as their first contact point can provide the person in that role with access to the PAC interface – it’s the quickest way for a receptionist to see the current extension status of all users.
The screenshots on this page show the PAC interface in both idle and active modes. As you can see, individual line and extension status is clearly shown by colour-coded icons (green – free; yellow – on call; red – DND; grey – not registered), and extension ownership/extension number is displayed. Extensions that are ‘on call’ indicate whether they are making an internal or external call. Call duration is also shown. |
